Diverse Facilities: The department UNIX network provides access to a wide variety of multiprocessor systems and over 80 RISC workstations. An open access policy allows graduate students to fully use these resources.

Innovative Curriculum: Members of the faculty have received national recognition for undergraduate curriculum design. These design principles have been carried through to the graduate program, and the resulting curriculum provides students with a broad and solid background that equips them to attack new problems in computer science.
