Undergraduate Program
Undergraduate Degrees: the department offers three different undergraduate
degrees.
-
B.S. in Computer Science
[Curriculum]: Technically
oriented degree for students interested in software development for
basic computer science, scientific and engineering applications. The
degree is accredited by the national Computer Science Accreditation
Board (CSAB). The major also includes an emphasis area
selected from another area.

B.S. Computer Information Systems
[Curriculum]: Appropriate for
students interested in applying computing to business applications.

B.A. in Computer Science
[Curriculum]
A liberal arts degree that provides the student with the maximum flexibility
in designing a program that supports his or her particular interests while
at the same time providing a firm foundation in computer science.
(The 2001/2002 curriculum is the current one.)
Advising: The undergraduate advising
page contains numerous resources that will help students plan their
academic programs. Undergraduates may make an appointment with one of
several undergraduate advisors. The
curriculum
worksheets to be a useful tool for planning their curriculum.
Department Policy on Academic Honesty:
Given the nature of our discipline, a
department policy on academic honesty
is provided that extends the university policy on academic honesty to
the electronic world.

This
